The real test of a tour guide is "would you travel with them again".  In my case, that is a hearty "Yes!". My wife and I have made 4 trips with Emily all over the world. Her trips are always small, always well organized, and always full of wonderful surprises.  What can I say about getting up well before dawn, driving in the dark to the desert, climbing on camels and taking a ride a mile or so out into the desert to photograph the iconic Egyptian pyramids at dawn? She knows secret places and interesting people where she takes you. She knows what the best timing is to either beat the crowds or get the best photos.  Emily pays close attention to the needs of her clients/friends and makes sure that we have a wonderful time.  I can't recommend a trip with her too highly!

Emily Wilson guided my wife and I around Egypt last year. Her organization of the entire trip and knowledge in-country were simply superlative. Every venue was well thought out and it was obvious that she had a great depth of experience at each locale. Not only were all accommodations excellent, she also retained excellent locals at every step of the trip. These locals bent over backwards to provide in-depth local knowledge and a local perspective as well as a wealth of historical context to each area. This is tremendously important in a country like Egypt where the primary draw is history.
When I asked for a specific photographic opportunity, the local guide and Emily did everything in their power to accommodate that request..to the point of almost getting us in trouble with the authorities!
I unreservedly recommend Emily Wilson as a travel guide and am delighted to call her my friend as well.

I have traveled with Emily several times, including trips to Morocco and Turkey, both of which she organized.  She has been to these locations many times, and has a wealth of local knowledge as well as wonderful local guides she has worked with previously.  She clearly put in a lot of work prior to the trips to ensure everything went smoothly, including obtaining permission for privileged access to several sites.  Her attitude is "clients needs come first" and she is always paying attention to the group to check that everyone is happy.  I'm looking forward to traveling with Emily again sometime soon.

My daughter and I had the trip of a lifetime to Morocco.  And this is all thanks to Emily.  We are world travelers, so know how important it is to have the right itinerary and great guides. Emily’s team did not disappoint.  But the real test is how things get handled when the unexpected happens.   For example our camera quit and we needed a new one.  Our guide did not skip a beat.  He arrived the next day with a perfect replacement.  We had mechanical issues in one of our rooms.  Our guide came over late that night, and worked with the hotel till everything was operational.  We’ve truly never been better cared for. If we could, we would wrap everyone up and take them with us on every future trip.  We consider them all family.

We can’t wait to book our next trip/adventure with Emily.

My trip to Morocco conducted by Emily Wilson is one of the most enjoyable tours I have been. I find the itinerary arranged by her very well thought out, especially for photography. The locations/destinations/subjects were superb; the timing mostly ideal and there was even adequate down time for us to recharge. Her knowledge of the country and the culture was invaluable as she not only shared her knowledge with us but was also able to communicate with the locals, thus making it enjoyable for us as we mingle with them. She was also very aware of the safety aspects from cleanliness of the food to presence of annoyances like pickpockets and local conditions that might impact our safety.

The physical arrangements, like accommodations, transportation, guiding and meals/ restaurants were also top-notch.
